Water Baptism

Water Baptism

We believe that Christian baptism, commanded by our Lord, is a sacrament signifying acceptance of the benefits of the atonement [of Jesus Christ, to be administered to believers and declarative of their faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior, and full purpose of obedience in holiness and righteousness.

Baptism being a symbol of the new covenant, young children may be baptized, upon request of parents or guardians who shall give assurance for them of necessary Christian training.

We thank God for every individual who comes to church. Whether you are a formal member or not, if you are a follower of Christ and participate in the life and ministries of the church, you are part of the Church already.

That being said, there is still a place for individuals to formally join the membership of a church. This is not about one church being better than another church. It is about an individual who is working within a context of a local church body making a commitment to serve in that church.
