In society where people are so accustomed to "getting lost in the crowd," never quite experiencing a sense of "belonging," we believe that most folks would rather be recognized for who they are and what they can become. We believe that all of us need to know that somebody genuinely cares about us rather than about our position in the community or the amount of money in our bank account.

Here at East Side, our congregation is made up of people from all walks of life. Most are hard-working people who see the need to provide spiritual opportunities for their families, as well as for commonly recognized needs of food, warmth and shelter.

To be honest, there are times when we have to admit that, as a church, we fail miserably in letting others know that we love them. Sometimes we allow ourselves to get caught up in a schedule that is too hectic. At other times, we simply become too forgerful. Still, we can point to a God who is never too busy, Who never forgets, and Who is always at work expressing His love the His people.

You see, here at East Side, we have NO delusions about ourselves. We fully realize that we are not perfect. There is No church which has human beings in it that can ever achieve absolute perfection. Our desire is simply to reach out to enlist others - like YOU - to join us in our walk with the Almighty in this pilgrimage of faithe we call LIFE.
